Lot 866: A Trio of Glass Scent Bottles with Sterling Silver and White Metal Mounts
A collection of three clear glass scent bottles of various forms and decorations. The first bottle features a globular body with a swirling vertical rib-cut pattern, fitted with a sterling silver collar and a hinged dome-top cap. The silver mounts are hallmarked for Birmingham, 2008, with the maker’s mark MMH for M. M. Henderson Ltd. The second bottle is of globular form with a deep diamond-cut pattern and is fitted with a large multi-faceted clear glass stopper and a silver-coloured metal collar. The third item is a miniature faceted glass scent bottle of angular geometric form with a silver-coloured metal screw-top cap.
Condition report:
The collection is in overall good condition. The glass bodies remain clear and bright across all three pieces, showing no significant internal clouding or major chips to the cut or faceted edges. The silver and white metal mounts exhibit natural surface tarnish and minor surface scratches consistent with handling and age.
