Lot 859: A Pair of Lapis Lazuli and White Metal Drop Earrings
A pair of drop earrings for pierced ears, each set with a round cabochon-cut gemstone. The stones are a deep blue colour with visible inclusions, consistent with lapis lazuli. The gemstones are held within white metal mounts featuring a decorative notched or scalloped base design. Each earring is suspended from a French hook ear wire, accented with a single small metal bead. There are no visible hallmarks or maker’s marks to the metal. The earrings are presented in a black cardboard box with a pink polka dot pattern and an orange adhesive tag marked 859.
Condition report:
The earrings are in good overall condition. The lapis lazuli cabochons appear free from visible chips or cracks. The metal surfaces show light wear and minor tarnishing consistent with use.
