An assortment of personal and military accoutrements including two Victorian brass skirt lifters, one of which features a white ceramic boss. These items were designed to raise the hem of a lady’s dress and are characteristic of late 19th-century fashion accessories. The lot also contains a pair of white-metal dress spurs, likely nickel-plated, of a standard British military pattern with Y-shaped shanks and curved necks terminating in rounded bosses without rowels. A navy blue and yellow twisted two-tone cord lanyard is included, fitted with a rectangular brass sliding buckle. Completing the lot is a single rectangular brass sliding keeper loop.
Condition report:
The items are in used, service-worn condition. The brass components exhibit an aged patina and surface tarnish. The white-metal spurs show signs of surface oxidation and minor pitting consistent with age. The lanyard cord remains in good structural condition with bright colours.
