Lot 816: British Royal Navy Clasp Knife Admiralty Pattern 301
This item is a British military-issue three-piece folding clasp knife, identified as Admiralty Pattern 301, of the type issued to the Royal Navy. The knife features three folding components: a sheepsfoot main blade, a can opener, and a curved marlinspike. The handle is constructed with dark grey synthetic scales, likely Bakelite, featuring a raised diamond-grid texture. These scales are secured to the frame with two pins. A large steel shackle or bail is attached to the butt end for lanyard attachment. The tang of the main blade is stamped with the British Ministry of Defence broad arrow mark (/|), while other manufacturer marks are present but worn and not clearly legible.
