Lot 812: A Collection of Vintage Scottie Dog Costume Jewellery Brooches including a Layered Acetate Piece in the Style of Lea Stein
A collection of vintage costume jewellery brooches all depicting Scottish Terriers. The assembly includes a large multi-layered brooch fashioned from cellulose acetate in marbled honey and tortoiseshell patterns, similar in design to the work of Lea Stein. A silver-toned metal brooch is pavé-set with clear and iridescent aurora borealis chaton rhinestones. Additionally, the collection features a smaller marbled honey-coloured plastic dog with a black eye and red tongue, a moulded plastic dog with a textured white and grey fur-effect finish, and a small metal brooch with white and purple enamel detailing.
Condition report:
Overall condition is good. The rhinestone brooch appears complete with no missing stones. Enamel on the smaller pin is intact. No cracks or significant wear visible on the plastic and acetate items. No maker\'s marks are present on the obverse. Pin mechanisms have not been tested.
