Lot 802: A vintage silver-toned metal and amber-coloured cabochon link belt or sautoir necklace
A vintage silver-toned metal accessory consisting of a series of repeated floral-motif links. Each link features a central translucent honey-brown cabochon stone, consistent with amber or glass, set within a scalloped wirework frame depicting eight rounded petals. The units are interconnected by simple metal loops. The piece is fitted with a hook-style clasp at one terminal. The metal surface shows an overall dark patina. No hallmarks, maker’s marks, or purity stamps are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The piece is in worn condition. There is significant tarnish and oxidation present across the metal components. Several stones are missing from their settings, with at least three empty metal backings clearly visible. The remaining cabochons show minor surface wear and abrasions.
