Lot 783: A 20th Century Jacobean Revival Style Dark Oak Wall-Hanging Corner Cupboard
A wall-hanging corner cupboard of one-piece construction, crafted from oak with a dark-stained finish in the Jacobean Revival style. The single door features two relief-carved panels, each decorated with twin circular motifs above vertical fluted detailing, a design often associated with the Romano range of the mid-20th century. The cupboard is topped with a shaped gallery pediment and is fitted with a simple turned wooden door knob and small brass hinges. Two auction stickers are present on the front: an orange tag marked 783 and a white sticker marked 2. No maker’s marks or labels are visible in the photograph.
Condition report:
The cupboard is in good overall condition. There is some minor surface wear and light scuffing consistent with age and use, particularly along the edges and the pediment gallery. Light dust accumulation is present within the recesses of the relief carving. The door hinges and handle are intact and appear functional.
