A wooden writing table or side table, finished in a distressed white paint, showing characteristics of late 19th-century Victorian or early 20th-century Edwardian design. The piece features a rectangular solid-topped surface with a slightly rounded edge. Positioned below the top are two side-by-side drawers, each fitted with a single white ceramic pull knob. The table is supported by four turned and fluted legs that taper towards the base. Each leg terminates in a brass-capped castor. No visible maker’s marks or labels were identified.
Condition report:
The table displays a heavily distressed finish with numerous chips, scratches, and areas of missing paint across the entire surface, particularly noticeable along the edges and on the fluted legs. There is some visible staining and darkening around the feet and casters.
