A mid-20th century folding card table of utilitarian design, likely of British manufacture. The table features a rectangular top with an inset green baize playing surface, enclosed within a raised wooden border. The frame and the four square-section tapered legs are constructed from oak. The legs are attached to the underside of the frame via metal folding hinges, allowing the unit to be collapsed for storage. There are no visible maker’s marks or labels, although a small orange lot sticker is present on one corner of the top.
Condition report:
The table is in fair, used condition. The green baize playing surface exhibits clear signs of wear, including fading and several noticeable stains. The oak frame and legs show various scuffs, scratches, and abrasions consistent with regular use and age. The metal folding mechanisms show some surface oxidation but appear to be in functional order.
