Lot 722: A Contemporary Pine Eight-Drawer Apothecary Style Chest
A contemporary pine chest of drawers of eight-drawer configuration arranged in two columns of four. The chest is constructed from solid pine, featuring a protruding top over drawers with raised central panels and moulded borders. Each drawer is fitted with a turned wooden mushroom style knob. The piece is supported on a simple plinth base. This style of furniture was widely produced in the United Kingdom during the late 20th century.
Condition report:
The chest is in fair to good used condition. There are minor surface scuffs, small indentations, and light scratches throughout consistent with age and domestic use. A small natural knot hole is visible on the lower right-hand plinth section.
