Lot 716: Two pine wall shelves
A lot comprising two late 20th-century pine wall-mounted shelving units of varying designs. The first unit features three fixed tiers supported by side panels, where the right-hand panel has a decorative curved top and the left-hand panel is straight. The second unit is an open three-tier shelf with shaped side supports, further detailed with a scalloped frieze and a moulded top rail. Both items are constructed from pine and finished with a clear wax. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on either piece. Small adhesive labels are present on the shelves of both units.
Condition report:
Both shelves exhibit signs of general wear consistent with use and age. There are visible surface marks, minor scuffs, and small indentations to the wood. Residue and paper from adhesive labels are present on the surfaces. The units appear structurally sound with no evidence of previous restoration or major damage.
