Lot 706: A Tudor Revival Style Oak Draw-Leaf Coffee Table
A large Tudor Revival style draw-leaf coffee table constructed from oak with a dark-stained finish, dating from the mid-20th century. The rectangular top features rounded corners and is equipped with a draw-leaf mechanism, allowing two extension leaves to be pulled from beneath the main surface. The substantial base is formed of four heavy bulbous turned legs, each decorated with carved acanthus-leaf motifs. These legs are joined by a low-profile, moulded X-stretcher for stability. Please note that the dark wood pedestal base resting on top of the table in the photographs is a separate item and is not included in this lot.
Condition report:
The table is in fair to used condition. The top surface shows significant signs of wear, including numerous scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss, most notably along the edges. The carved legs and stretcher show general surface wear, minor scuffing, and dust accumulation consistent with age and use.
