Lot 695: A Trio of Contemporary Decorative Cushions
A collection of three contemporary decorative cushions comprising a matching pair and a single example. The matching pair consists of two large rectangular cushions featuring bold suzani-inspired embroidery. The design incorporates large-scale palmettes and scrolling vines in a palette of navy blue, slate blue, charcoal grey, and olive green on a cream-coloured woven ground. One cushion retains a manufacturer’s label identifying the material as 100% cotton. The third item is a single rectangular cushion upholstered in slate blue velvet. The face of this cushion is constructed with pieced diagonal panels forming a repeated chevron or V-shaped geometric texture. All cushions are finished with plain reverse panels and zip closures.
Condition report:
The cushions appear to be in very good, clean condition, potentially representing ex-display or new old stock. All three items retain orange adhesive price stickers. There are no visible stains, pulls to the embroidery, or signs of significant wear.
