A French Provincial style painted armoire, likely a 20th-century revival piece. The unit features two-piece construction, comprising a tall two-door upper section and a base with a single full-width drawer. It is topped with a detachable ornate carved pediment featuring a central shell motif and scrolling acanthus leaves. The doors are designed with shaped, recessed panels. The piece is finished in an off-white or cream lacquer with a light patina applied to the mouldings to accentuate the decorative details. It is fitted with darkened metal round pull knobs and exposed barrel-style hinges. Interior fittings are not visible. No maker’s marks were identified.
