Lot 66: A Collection of Glass Swing-Top Bottles
A collection of contemporary utilitarian clear glass bottles featuring swing-top or flip-top closure mechanisms. Each bottle is constructed from moulded clear glass with a narrow neck and a flared base. The sealing mechanism comprises a metal wire bail assembly, a white stopper, and an orange rubber gasket. One bottle, shown inverted, reveals a textured ring on the base for stability; however, no specific maker marks or signatures are visible. The bottles are of a style commonly used for home-brewing, condiments, or artisanal food storage. The collection is housed in a cardboard box featuring various handwritten numerical notations and a small orange adhesive label marked 66.
Condition report:
The bottles appear to be in good used condition with surface wear consistent with handling and storage. Some minor dust and residue are visible on the glass. The wire bails and rubber gaskets appear intact, though their functionality for airtight sealing has not been tested.
