Lot 650: A Collection of Vintage and Modern Garden and Workshop Tools including a Two-Man Crosscut Saw
This lot comprises a collection of vintage and modern garden and workshop hand tools, presented within a galvanised metal wheelbarrow tray. The assortment includes a large two-man crosscut saw with a peg-tooth profile and traditional wooden-handled hedge shears alongside metal-handled variants. Modern implements are represented by a pair of bypass loppers, which are marked with the maker name Fiskars and model number L86. Also included are a long-handled garden fork, various files and rasps, a hand trowel, and several long-handled wooden shafts for agricultural or garden use. The tools are constructed from a mix of iron, steel, hardwood, and modern plastic composites. A small orange adhesive sticker is present on one wooden handle with the handwritten characters 6.50.
Condition report:
The items are in an as found state with varying degrees of wear. The vintage iron and steel tools show heavy surface oxidation and pitting. Wooden handles are weathered with some instances of cracking and staining commensurate with age and outdoor use. The modern Fiskars loppers appear used but remain in functional condition. This lot is suitable for restoration or decorative purposes.
