Lot 630: A Vintage Fisons Manual Walk-Behind Drop Spreader
A vintage manual walk-behind drop spreader by Fisons, designed for the application of lawn care products such as fertiliser and seed. The unit comprises a rectangular metal hopper finished in blue paint, mounted upon two wheels. A white tubular metal T-handle is secured to the main body. The top of the hopper is fitted with an adjustable flow-rate lever, which operates via a mechanical linkage to the discharge slot located at the base. A printed reference chart is visible on the hopper casing, providing suggested spreader settings for various Fisons lawn products.
Visible markings include a label on the hopper with the text suggested spreader settings and FISONS LAWN PRODUCTS. An orange sticker is present on the handle bearing the handwritten digits 6.30.
Hopper width: 18 – 20 inches approximately.
Condition report:
This item shows significant signs of age and extensive outdoor use. There is widespread surface rust across the tubular handle and the metal hopper, with associated paint loss and chipping throughout. While the mechanical components appear to be intact, their functionality has not been tested.
