A Chinese porcelain vase of ovoid form with a short neck and flared rim. The piece is decorated in the Cantonese style with hand-painted overglaze enamels in the Famille Rose palette. The body features reserve panels depicting long-tailed birds on flowering branches and butterflies, surrounded by a dense floral ground interspersed with smaller butterfly motifs. A pink meander or Greek key border decorates the rim. No maker’s or reign marks are visible on the exterior.
Condition report:
Generally good condition with no apparent chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. There is an orange adhesive sticker on the shoulder.
