A lot comprising two decorative fire screens. The first is a three-fold screen featuring a brass-finished frame with arched tops and black-coated wire mesh panels. The central panel is joined by hinges to two narrower side panels, each adorned with decorative orb and spike finials. The second is a single-panel fire screen constructed from wrought iron with a black-painted finish. The rectangular frame contains a black wire mesh backing overlaid with symmetrical, heavy-gauge scrollwork motifs. The outer border features additional scrolling wirework, and the screen is supported on four scrolled feet.
Condition report:
The three-fold screen shows general surface wear with visible oxidation and tarnish to the brass finish. An auction label is present on one panel. The wrought iron screen displays surface wear and accumulated dust consistent with age and domestic use. Both items appear structurally sound without significant damage to the mesh.
