Lot 538: An Assortment of Decorative Glassware and Ceramics
An assortment of various decorative objects and glassware. The collection includes a large clear pressed glass platter featuring a central starburst motif and a faceted rim; a blown amethyst glass jug with a loop handle and a cork stopper; a clear glass decanter with a long fluted neck and acid-etched or engraved foliate scroll decoration; and a flared amber glass vase. Ceramic items comprise a green-glazed studio pottery vase with incised geometric lines, a white ceramic bird figurine with spread wings and a red-painted head, and a porcelain figurine of a seated woman in a blue gown positioned within a hexagonal white ceramic pot. Also present is a small hand-painted porcelain lid or vessel decorated with pink roses and a cobalt blue border with gilt highlights, alongside a black-painted wooden display stand with a metal support rod and a dark cylindrical object. No maker’s marks or hallmarks were observed.
Condition report:
The items are in mixed condition, showing surface dust and minor wear consistent with storage. Occasional small chips, surface scratches, or minor losses to decoration may be present across the various pieces.
