Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

This item is a stave-constructed bucket of tapered cylindrical form, crafted from dark-stained oak and intended for use as an umbrella stand or coal scuttle. It is bound by three polished brass bands, each secured with oversized, decorative dome-headed brass rivets. The stand is fitted with twin brass drop-ring handles on circular backplates. The interior is of open construction. This piece is characteristic of late 19th or early 20th-century British domestic utility ware. No maker’s marks or signatures are present on the visible surfaces.

Condition report:

The stand is in good antique condition, showing signs of wear and usage consistent with its age. The oak staves have a rich patina with scattered surface scuffs and small indentations. The brass components exhibit natural tarnish, spotting, and oxidation. The ring handles are securely mounted.
