Lot 486: A Victorian Style Bobbin-Turned Upholstered Stool
A small rectangular stool of late Victorian or Edwardian revival style. The frame is constructed from dark-stained wood and features four legs and four stretchers, all intricately bobbin-turned. The seat is fixed and padded, upholstered in a beige floral damask-style fabric. The edge of the seat is finished with a decorative corded gimp trim. Two small white adhesive labels are present on the upper wooden rail, one containing the handwritten numeral 2. A small orange sticker is also visible on one corner of the seat fabric.
Condition report:
The stool is in fair overall condition. The decorative corded trim is detached and frayed at one corner of the seat. The upholstery fabric shows light surface wear and minor discolouration consistent with age and use. The wooden frame appears stable but exhibits minor surface scuffs and wear to the finish, particularly on the lower stretchers and feet.
