A pair of George II style wall mirrors, each with a mahogany-veneered frame featuring scrolling fret-cut cresting and a matching shaped apron. The rectangular mirror plates are bordered by cross-banded veneers and inner gilded moulded slips. Each frame bears a white inventory label numbered 2, and one mirror also carries an orange sticker numbered 461. No maker’s marks are present.
Condition report:
The mirror plates show signs of age including minor foxing and some silvering degradation, particularly towards the edges. The frames have a layer of surface dust and minor age-related wear.
