Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises two table lamps of differing form and decoration. The first is a large ovoid ceramic lamp featuring a cream-coloured ground decorated with a large-scale scrolling foliate and floral design in muted sage green. It is mounted on a dark-stained, turned wooden circular base and is fitted with a brass B22 bayonet cap lamp holder and a gold-coloured three-core flex ending in a standard UK three-pin plug. The second lamp is a porcelain table lamp of waisted baluster form. The white ground is decorated with a repeating pattern of small blue scales, featuring a central reserve with a hand-painted polychrome floral spray contained within a scrolled border. The upper rim is accented with a green foliate border and gilt detailing. This lamp is fitted with a brass B22 bayonet cap lamp holder and a gold-coloured flex with a white inline rocker switch. No maker’s marks are visible on either piece.

Condition report:

Both lamps appear to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restoration to the ceramic or porcelain bodies. The first lamp has a small orange inventory label attached to the upper shoulder. The wooden base and brass fittings show minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Both items are sold as untested and professional electrical inspection and PAT testing is recommended before use.
