Lot 452: Two Vintage Table Lamps including a Brass and Alabaster Example Made in Spain
Two table lamps of differing designs. The first lamp is of neoclassical form, featuring a polished brass columnar stem with decorative turned elements and a central collar. This sits atop a central sphere of alabaster or marble, supported by a circular, stepped brass base decorated with foliate and scroll relief. The base is embossed with the words MADE IN SPAIN. The second lamp is a candle-style piece with a dark patinated metal base featuring fluted and stepped detailing, supporting a cream-coloured plastic sleeve designed to resemble a candle. Both items are fitted with gold-coloured flex cables and UK 3-pin plugs, and utilise B22 bayonet-style bulb holders.
Condition report:
Both lamps exhibit signs of age and previous use. The brass lamp shows surface oxidation and tarnishing across the metal components. The second lamp displays wear to the patinated finish. No shades are present for either item. Both lamps have adhesive stock labels attached to the bodies. Electrical components are sold as untested and must be checked by a qualified electrician before use.
