An oval dressing table mirror designed in the Rococo revival style. The dark-coloured oval frame features an applied sculptural group of three cherubs in a gilded finish to the left-hand side. The inner border of the frame is decorated with a gilded beaded detail. The mirror plate is oval, and the piece is supported by a gilded metal stand with a circular base, visible in reflection within the mirror plate. The frame currently bears an orange adhesive sticker with the handwritten digits 445 and a small white label with the number 2.
Condition report:
The mirror plate shows surface dirt and minor foxing. There is wear and rubbing to the gilded finish on the cherub figures, consistent with age and use. Minor scuffs and marks are present on the dark painted finish of the main frame.
