Lot 440: Two Barbola Style Polychrome Floral Decorative Wall Mirrors
A pair of small decorative oval wall mirrors in the Barbola style. The first mirror features a frame of moulded composite material with a polychrome floral crest at the top and a gadrooned border, decorated in shades of pink, yellow, and blue. The second mirror has a continuous three-dimensional floral wreath frame with a polychrome finish in a palette of pink, purple, yellow, and blue. Both mirrors are fitted with bevelled glass plates. No maker marks are visible on the front of either item. Both mirrors bear orange adhesive price stickers on the glass surfaces.
Condition report:
Both mirrors appear to be in good condition. The bevelled mirror plates are clear and show no significant signs of foxing or silvering loss. The moulded frames are intact without major chips or losses to the raised floral decoration. There is surface dust and adhesive residue from the labels on the glass surfaces.
