A pair of three-arm electric wall sconces in the Neoclassical style. Each sconce is designed with a central backplate modelled as a tied bundle of rods or reeds, supporting three scrolling arms with a rope-twist texture. The scrolls are further decorated with circular floral rosettes. Each arm terminates in a leaf-moulded bobeche fitted with a white plastic candle-effect sleeve. The sconces are constructed from cast gilt-coloured metal with a polished finish. They are accompanied by two tapered clip-on shades in a buff-coloured parchment. The items are wired for electricity and fitted with small screw-in (SES) bulbs. Small adhesive labels are present on the fixtures, including a white tag marked 2 and an orange tag marked 4.28. Please note that as a standard auction practice for electrical goods, these items are sold as untested and must be inspected and tested by a qualified electrician prior to installation and use.
Condition report:
The sconces are in good used condition, showing some surface tarnish, light oxidation, and minor wear consistent with age and use. One of the parchment shades shows an indentation. Electrical components are untested.
