Lot 426: A Trio of Vintage Black Composition Lawn Bowls in a Carrying Case
A trio of lawn bowls manufactured from a polished black composite material. Each bowl features multiple concentric grooved rings around the poles. The set is housed in a vintage-style brown leather-effect carrying case with a green baize-lined interior. The case is fitted with internal dividers and secured by two tan leather fastening straps with metal buckles. No manufacturer marks or bias stamps are visible on the surfaces of the bowls shown.
Condition report:
The case shows signs of age and wear, with significant cracking and perish to the leather fastening straps. There is general scuffing and surface wear to the exterior of the case. The bowls exhibit minor surface marks and scratches consistent with regular match play. The interior lining shows minor wear and discolouration.
