A mid-to-late 20th-century decorative wall mirror of upright, shaped form. The mirror features a central fluted border with a gilded finish, surrounded by an elaborate high-relief botanical frame. The outer frame is decorated with trailing vines, large dark green leaves, and heavy clusters of deep purple grapes. The frame appears to be constructed from a molded composite material or cast metal in the toleware style, finished with paint and gilding. The mirror plate is shaped to follow the inner frame and is held securely within the decorative housing. A yellow rectangular sticker with the handwritten number 408 is adhered to the lower gilt section, and a small white square sticker with the printed characters 2 2 is located on the lower left of the mirror glass. These are temporary auction or inventory markings. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the front of the item.
Condition report:
The mirror is in good decorative condition, showing minor surface wear and a light accumulation of dust consistent with age and use. The mirror plate appears to be in good condition with no significant foxing or loss of silvering visible. There are two temporary stickers adhered to the surface as noted in the description.
