A rectangular wall mirror featuring an ornate, heavily moulded frame. The frame is likely constructed from composition or gesso over a wooden base, finished with a gilded surface. The decoration includes an outer border of foliate relief and an inner border of repetitive scrolled geometric patterns. The design is in the style of period revival mirrors, drawing on Baroque and Neoclassical influences common in the late 19th to mid-20th century. A lot tag marked with the handwritten number 20 is adhered to the glass surface.
Condition report:
The frame shows minor surface wear consistent with age, including small chips and cracks to the gilded finish and moulded composition. The mirror plate appears to be in good overall condition with a clear reflection and no significant signs of foxing or silvering loss visible.
