Lot 396: A Collection of Assorted Wood and Decorative Storage Boxes
A collection of assorted storage and presentation boxes of varying designs and materials. The lot includes a rectangular dark-stained wooden box featuring an inlaid metal escutcheon to the front. A second rectangular box is constructed from light-coloured natural wood with a prominent vertical grain. Also present is a red-covered presentation case or box decorated with gold-tooled Greek key-style borders and heraldic crests to the corners. A fabric-covered storage case is partially visible in the background. The items are marked with white inventory labels displaying the numbers 15 15, and the dark wooden box bears an additional yellow handwritten tag numbered 396.
Condition report:
All items exhibit signs of wear consistent with age and use. The wooden boxes show surface scuffs, scratches, and minor chips to the edges and corners. The red presentation case displays some rubbing to the gilt decoration and wear to the exterior surfaces.
