Lot 373: Duval, 'Floral Still Life' and Two Other Framed Artworks (Signed)
A trio of framed artworks comprising two oil paintings and one print. The primary work is an oil on board floral still life by Duval, depicting a vibrant arrangement of red poppies, blue cornflowers, and white daisies in a glass vase. The work is signed ‘DUVAL’ to the mid-right and is presented in a large, shaped circular Rococo-style frame with a cream and sage-green painted finish and gilded foliate ornaments. The second piece is a rectangular oil on board depicting a traditional stable scene with horses and hounds, housed in a deep, ornate classical-style gilt wood frame. The third item is an oval-framed print on board depicting a young girl in 18th-century style dress holding a kitten, set within a simple stepped gilt frame. All three items are marked with orange lot stickers numbered ‘373’ and white labels marked ‘2 2’.
Condition report:
All items are in good overall condition, showing light surface dust and minor wear to the frames consistent with age. The paint surfaces of the oils appear stable with light surface ageing.
