Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises three landscape works, including a topographical line engraving and two additional landscape views. The first piece is a mid-19th century line engraving titled THE RIVER RIBBLE, which features a circular vignette depicting a river harbour with several two-masted sailing vessels, figures on the shore, and buildings in the background. This image is set within an ornate square architectural border with decorative corner motifs. The title THE RIVER RIBBLE is inscribed in a serif typeface centrally below the circular frame. The engraving exhibits a clear impression with fine cross-hatching and line work. The second work is an unframed landscape print mounted on card, showing a pastoral scene with cattle in the foreground and a village with a church tower in the distance. The third work is a large framed landscape, likely a watercolour or a wash-tinted print, depicting a multi-arched stone bridge over a river with a large gothic-style building, possibly a cathedral, in the background. The collection is presented in dark wood frames with gilt-finished inner slips and neutral-toned mounts.

Condition report:

The items are in good overall condition. The paper displays even toning consistent with age, but no significant foxing, tears, or water damage are visible. The frames show minor surface abrasions and shelf wear. The mounts are clean and well-presented.
