The first is an oval-format impressionist street scene, likely a print or watercolour on paper, depicting a busy city square with figures, trees, and ornate street lamps centred around a monument. It is presented within a cream-coloured mount with gold-line detailing and housed in a dark wood frame with a gold-tone inner slip. The second artwork is a traditional landscape painting, likely oil on board, depicting a dirt path winding through fields and wooded areas towards a horizon under a cloudy sky. This work is signed Burnett in the upper right corner. It is set in a decorative moulded dark wood frame with a gold-tone inner border.
Condition report:
Both artworks appear to be in good overall condition. The mount of the oval city scene shows some minor spotting and light foxing. The frames exhibit light surface wear, minor scuffs, and residues from adhesive auction lot stickers.
