An assortment of mid-20th-century plastic and melamine tableware, typical of 1960s and 1970s Space Age design. The collection comprises a large stack of circular orange plates in at least two different diameters, two double-handled cups with orange exteriors and white interiors, and two rectangular storage containers featuring white bodies and orange lids. Also included is a tall, cylindrical orange canister and a nested set of bowls, including a red bowl with yellow handles and several shallow orange bowls. These items are constructed from hard-wearing moulded plastic with a vibrant colour palette characteristic of European manufacture from the period, in the style of makers such as Rosti or Ornamin. Several items bear yellow temporary auction lot labels, including one numbered 336.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good vintage condition. There are no obvious cracks, deep chips, or significant heat damage visible. As is common with vintage plastic tableware, light surface scratching and minor signs of domestic use should be expected upon close inspection.
