Lot 299: A Large Collection of Assorted Ceramic Tableware and Kitchenalia
This lot comprises a diverse assortment of porcelain and fine earthenware tableware. Included is a partial tea service decorated in a traditional Imari palette featuring iron red, cobalt blue, and gilt floral and geometric motifs, which contains a large shaped serving platter, multiple teacups, and saucers. Also present is a white glazed tea set with simple gilt rim detailing, consisting of a teapot, a lidded sugar bowl, and a cream jug. A further set of teacups is decorated with blue floral sprigs. The collection also features a substantial quantity of contemporary utilitarian ware, including stacks of dinner plates, side plates, and bowls in plain white and pale blue glazes. A ceramic kitchen canister containing various stainless steel and plastic kitchen utensils is also included. Small orange price stickers are present on several items.
Condition report:
The collection is in fair used condition with signs of wear consistent with age and domestic use. Rubbing to the gilt decoration is visible on several pieces, along with surface scratching. The items have not been individually inspected for minor chips, hairline cracks, or professional repairs. Sold as seen.
