Lot 29: An Assortment of Silver-Plated Tea and Coffee Service Items and Table Accessories
An assortment of silver-plated tableware, including items in the style of manufacturers such as William Rogers. The collection features a tea and coffee service, with vessels characterised by rounded bodies, domed lids with pointed finials, and scroll handles with black heat insulators. Also included are open sugar vessels and a cream jug, each with scalloped rims and scroll handles. Complementing the set is a clear glass flower frog with multiple perforations set within a silver-plated dish, and a small circular dish with a decorative pierced gallery rim. No maker’s marks are discernible in the images. The construction appears to be silver-plate, likely over a base metal such as nickel silver, evidenced by the heavy surface tarnish.
