This vintage mid-20th century coat is crafted from natural mahogany-coloured fur. It employs a let-out construction technique, where the pelts have been sliced and reassembled into long, continuous vertical strips to provide a streamlined appearance and fluid drape. The design features a prominent, wide shawl collar and voluminous sleeves characteristic of the 1950s to 1970s period. The interior is lined with a dark chocolate brown satin-weave fabric. A small white label is attached to the interior neckline, though the text is not clearly legible. Two temporary inventory tags are present: a yellow tag numbered 269 and an orange tag numbered 270.
Condition report:
The fur is in overall good condition, exhibiting a healthy sheen and dense, soft undercoat. No significant bald spots, matting, or pelt wear are visible from the exterior. The interior lining appears to be intact and free from obvious tearing or heavy staining.
