Lot 261: Mid-century dark mahogany brown fur stole
A vintage mid-century fur stole or wrap, crafted from dark mahogany-toned natural fur. The fur is characterised by a dense undercoat and glossy guard hairs, arranged in vertical pelts. The garment features a shaped shoulder design intended to drape over the wearer. It is lined with a bronze-toned satin-finish fabric. There are no visible maker’s labels or monograms. A handwritten auction tag numbered 81 and an orange sticker numbered 261 are attached to the hanger.
Condition report:
The fur appears to be in good vintage condition with a healthy, lustrous sheen and no visible areas of wear or balding. The lining is intact but shows some creasing consistent with storage.
