Lot 244: A late 19th century style lidded porcelain potpourri urn with hand painted rose decoration - Royal Worcester
A porcelain lidded potpourri urn of ovoid form, featuring a central hand painted floral cartouche of red and pink roses. This floral panel is framed by elaborate raised paste gilded foliate and scrollwork decoration. The urn is flanked by twin scrolled handles and stands upon a shaped, heavily gilded pedestal base. The reticulated cover is fully gilded with pierced detailing and is surmounted by a pointed finial. While no manufacturer marks are visible in the provided image, the form and decorative execution are in the manner of late Victorian Royal Worcester porcelain. An orange auction lot sticker numbered 244 is attached to one handle.
