This lot consists of two decorative porcelain pitchers featuring a blush ivory ground, a style characteristic of late 19th-century English ceramics. The taller ewer is of cylindrical form, accented by three horizontal gilded bands and a handle modelled as a textured gilded twig. The upper rim features relief-moulded foliage with heavy gilded highlights, and the body is decorated with two distinct hand-painted polychrome floral sprays. The smaller ewer is a footed vessel with a wide flared spout and a similarly styled gilded twig-form handle. It is decorated with a hand-painted floral arrangement including a rose and a lily, with the circular base finished with a repeating geometric pattern in gold. While no manufacturer marks are visible in the provided images, the forms, handles, and decorative techniques are highly consistent with the blush ivory production of Royal Worcester from the late Victorian period.
Condition report:
Both items appear to be in good overall condition. There is visible surface wear and rubbing to the gilding on the handles, rims, and raised edges, which is consistent with age and use. No major chips, cracks, or signs of restoration were observed during visual inspection.
