Lot 239: A Pair of English Blush Ivory Porcelain Vases - Royal Worcester
A pair of porcelain pedestal vases featuring a blush ivory gradient ground transitioning from cream to a soft apricot tone. The larger vase is of an ovoid twin-handled form supported by a square footed base, decorated with a polychrome floral spray including a prominent pink flower and yellow blossoms. This vase is further accented by ornate, gilt-highlighted scroll handles and a flared neck with a gilt rim. The second, smaller vase is of a similar ovoid form without handles, resting on a circular pedestal base, with coordinating floral decoration and gilt highlights. The pieces are characteristic of the late Victorian or Edwardian aesthetic style, closely resembling the blush ivory ware produced by factories such as Royal Worcester or Carlton Ware. No maker marks are visible; both pieces bear orange auction lot labels numbered 239.
