A Regency style chandelier of bag-and-tent design. The upper tent section consists of graduated chains of faceted octagonal glass beads leading to a ring of spear-shaped glass prisms, all suspended from a decorative circular collar. The central section is defined by a broad gilt-metal band featuring cast foliate and scroll patterns. The lower bag section is composed of multiple concentric tiers of long, faceted glass icicle drops. The fixture is fitted for electricity with two internal, upward-facing bulb sockets. No manufacturer marks or labels are present. The frame carries contemporary orange and white adhesive auction lot labels, with the handwritten numerals 227 and 2 clearly visible.
Condition report:
The chandelier is in generally good condition and appears largely complete. There is visible surface dust throughout and some minor misalignment of the individual crystal drops. All electrical components are sold as untested and it is strongly recommended that the item be inspected and rewired by a qualified electrician prior to installation.
