A machine-woven area rug designed in a traditional Persian-inspired style. The composition features a large, ornate central floral medallion set against a cream-coloured field. This is framed by a broad, deep-red primary border containing a continuous pattern of scrolling foliate motifs and floral sprays rendered in navy blue, cream, and gold tones. The piece is finished with a machine-stitched red binding to all edges. The pile appears to be of synthetic construction, such as polypropylene, or a wool-blend, typical of mass-produced commercial manufacture from the late 20th or early 21st century.
Dimensions: Not measured; pictured draped over a three-seater leather sofa for scale.
Condition report:
The rug appears to be in good, clean condition throughout. There are no visible stains, areas of heavy wear, or damage to the bound edges.
