A pair of decorative ceramic items comprising one circular plate and one rectangular tray with a scalloped and lobed rim. The pieces are decorated in a Chinoiserie style known as the Indian Tree pattern. The decoration features underglaze blue transfer-printed elements, including a diaper-patterned border and a central gnarled tree trunk. This is further embellished with overglaze polychrome enamel decoration in shades of pink, orange, green, and yellow, depicting large peony blossoms and stylized foliage. Both pieces are finished with gilded rims. No maker marks or backstamps are visible on the upper surfaces, and the undersides are not shown. Both items bear orange inventory tags numbered 186.
Condition report:
The pieces are in good overall condition. There is minor visible wear to the gilding on the rims, consistent with age and use. No chips, cracks, or restoration are evident from the primary viewing angle.
