Lot 167: A Collection of Cased and Loose Silver-Plated and Stainless Steel Flatware and Serving Utensils
This lot comprises an extensive assortment of flatware and serving pieces, presented in various canteens, cases, and loose containers. Included is a substantial wooden cutlery canteen with a burgundy velvet-lined interior, featuring a Tarnpruf anti-tarnish label, containing a part-service of flatware with cream-coloured composite handles. The collection also includes several cased sets, such as a set of six silver-plated teaspoons with a larger rounded serving spoon, a stainless steel cake server, and a three-piece set with linear-patterned handles. Some packaging is marked PARKER. Serving utensils include a pair of salad servers with wooden handles and silver-plated heads, alongside two large ornate serving spoons with dark tapered handles and pierced silver-plated bowls. A quantity of loose assorted flatware is also included in a cardboard box. Condition report:
The condition of the lot is mixed. The wooden canteen and various cases show age-related wear, scuffing, and minor surface damage. Several silver-plated pieces, particularly those held in the loose plastic container, exhibit significant tarnish and surface wear. Cased sets appear to be in generally cleaner condition, although some interior linings show fading and light wear.
