A collection of mid-to-late 20th-century Chinese and Asian-style porcelain and functional tableware. The group includes an assortment of Imari-style porcelain pieces, featuring polychrome decoration in underglaze blue, iron red, and gilt. The pattern consists of central floral motifs surrounded by cartouches and geometric borders, comprising a large serving plate and an assortment of matching smaller plates. The lot further contains a pair of small blue and white porcelain bowls with gilt-finished rims, a small dish with a central floral motif, and an assortment of ceramic soup spoons decorated with scrolling floral and geometric designs. Also included is a set of small porcelain cups, each featuring hand-painted ink-wash style motifs of bamboo and blossoms in black and grey tones. Small red seal marks are present within the decoration of several cups but are not clearly legible. The cups are presented in a red fabric-lined box. Additional items include two pairs of green stone chopsticks in a presentation box and a boxed assortment of metal picks with dark handles, the box bearing the partial lettering en ess.
Condition report:
