A pair of traditional Middle Eastern coffee pots, commonly known as Dallah, of graduated sizes. These vessels are constructed from a cast brass or copper alloy with extensive chased and engraved decoration covering the entire body. The surface ornamentation consists of intricate floral scrolls, circular medallions, and textured geometric grounds. Both items exhibit traditional Islamic styling, including a long, sweeping curved spout, a hinged domed lid surmounted by a tall pointed finial, and a scrolled handle. There are no maker’s marks or other identifying inscriptions visible on the pots. One item bears a white lot sticker numbered 14.
Condition report:
Both pots exhibit a heavy aged patina with significant surface oxidation and tarnish throughout. The tarnish is particularly prominent in the recessed areas of the engraved decoration. The metal surface shows a variation in tone, from dark oxidised areas to lighter brass-toned highlights. No major structural damage or repairs are visible from the exterior inspection.
