Lot 119: A Vintage Brass Milk Churn Style Pitcher
A brass pitcher or jug of traditional form, designed to resemble a small milk churn. The vessel features a wide cylindrical body that tapers to a narrow neck and terminates in a flared rim with a broad pinched spout. The body and neck are embellished with concentric horizontal bands of incised lines. It is fitted with a simple flat-strip brass loop handle. The piece is constructed from sheet brass with a polished finish. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces.
Condition report:
The item displays a bright polished finish with scattered areas of surface tarnish and oxidation. There are visible signs of wear consistent with age and use, including several small shallow dents and light surface scratches across the lower body.
